The re-feed after Water fasting


Once we have done a fast, we should be very conscious of what we need to do after. What we re-feed our body with is essential for good gut bacteria/flora and the trillion microbes that we want to build back to alignment with our system and future eating habits.

Improper refeeding (repeated incase it was not read thorough from water fasting section)

After an extended water only fast after the body has been in ketosis (after day 3 water only fasting) we must be very delicate in the refeeding process.. please refer to the refeeding information on the course..

There is in extreme cases something called Refeed syndrome which can reduce the serum levels of electrolytes in the body this is caused by a shift in the electrolytes from long periods of ketosis, as the pancreas stops producing insulin our system switches to Glucogenesis ( Gluconeogenesis is a when your system has 0 carbohydrate to very little and that results in the generation of glucose from certain non-carbohydrate carbon bases..

We must re activate and begin to stimulate the these subtle processes of our body, with refeeding slowly and not consuming to much glucose too quickly being very cautious with over feeding....

Fruits are key but must be slowly eaten and taken very seriously after long water only fasting.


The refeed process should be applied with this noted, 10 day water fast 3-5 days little introduction of food the first day, few apples throughout the day or a papaya the whole day or 20 day fast with 10 days refeed, each day slowly increasing the food intake and volume

This will ensure the system returns to its normal glucose fuel and not ketones/ketosis

The fruit that is low in glycemic index is best. (apple or a few hundred grams of papaya)

Don't over indulge, just allow the fruit to sit inside for a 4-5  hours and then slowly intake another apple or few hundred grams of papaya.

Day 2

Repeat the same but slightly increase to double and every day after this keep increasing these simple foods up until half the length of your fast, 

On day 4 we recommend taking one ice cube of Kombu for a full 30 Days and staying on fruit for along as possible . (see our videos library linked below)


Remember to try to be really present with this food and appreciate the truth of what is there for you at this moment..

Each time you fast, food awareness picks up and progression to the sensitivity of your inner mechanics will bring clarity to what foods harm and what foods heal. Be gentle...garlic, onions, chillies, meat, dairy, processed foods — too much heavy cooked food, please avoid...
