Synovial fluid
What is Synovial Fluid?
As we move the joint, synovial fluid is pulled towards the direction of movement so that a layer of fluid is maintained between the joint surfaces. If there is any friction produced by that movement the friction will be within the synovial not in the joint surfaces themselves.
It is very important to do a light weight of the exercise's one is performing a "warm up" so that the Synovial fluid is there ready to protect the joint when adding heavy weights to a lift.
Those that go in heavy first will not have the Synovial fluid there to protect and are at risk of wearing joints down..
ALWAYS WARM UP!!!!
